Joe Tedesco is an accomplished business leader and Board Member. Joe is trained as an accountant (CPA/CA) and has been successful in driving P&L performance while driving growth and brand investments. He currently serves as Board Vice Chair (formerly Chair) at Accessible Media Inc. “AMI.” AMI’s mission is to establish and support a voice for Canadians with disabilities, representing their interests, concerns and values through accessible media, reflection, and portrayal. In addition to his board interests, Joe is a small business owner and independent consultant/advisor primarily in the media sector.
Prior to becoming a consultant and business owner, Joe was Executive-Vice President and General Manager of WildBrain Television. WildBrain Inc. is a TSX listed publicly traded company and is one of the world’s largest producers and distributor of family and youth entertainment. During his tenure, Joe also had responsibility for strategic planning and oversaw regulatory and government relations for WildBrain Inc.
Prior to WildBrain Television, he held the position of Senior Vice President and General Manager at Astral Television a division of Astral Media Inc. In that role, he led the family and youth division which included Family Channel as well as 3 Disney branded channels. Joe launched his career at Astral as the Senior Vice President of Finance & Business Affairs responsible for the financial, business affairs/legal and IT functions for the division.
Prior to entering the media sector, Joe held senior level financial positions in Heavy Truck manufacturing and packaged goods. In addition, to providing financial leadership he led major business development initiatives in licensing technology patents that were utilized in developing new lines of business.
