Hello, and thank you for visiting our Halton ADAPT website.
My name is Glen Ricketts. In September, 2021, I have had the privilege of becoming the Chief Executive Officer of the Halton Alcohol, Drug and Gambling, Assessment, Prevention and Treatment Services, more commonly known as ADAPT.
I first joined ADAPT as a youth and family counsellor in the winter of 1988. In the 35+ years since, I have had the opportunity to work with populations facing challenges with substance abuse disorder, concurrent disorders, and problem gambling and behavioral disorders. Over the years my work at ADAPT has included individual and group counselling, program development, client and community advocacy, proposal writing, establishing funding, and health system coordination, enhancement, and improvement.
When in the role of ADAPT’s Director of Operations, I was able to apply my efforts to ensuring the availability of a wide range of awareness, prevention, and treatment programs, all committed to service excellence.
Since being awarded the position of Chief Executive Officer, I have furthered my focus on health system coordination and integration, and I hold an unwavering commitment to placing the individual at the center of their own care. I am driven to working with a variety of health partners in ensuring that ADAPT develops and delivers community addictions care where stigma, inequity and exclusion are never experienced and where every individual is treated with dignity, acceptance, and respect.
As ADAPT strives to meet the needs of our clients and community, we would welcome the opportunity to hear from you. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please message us at yourfeedback@haltonadapt.org
Sincerely,
Glen Ricketts.
Chief Executive Officer, ADAPT.
