Thank you for your interest in learning more about ADAPT. I am Monty Montgomery, and I joined ADAPT in 2022 as the Director of Operations.
I have been extremely lucky to have the opportunity to have worked in a variety of roles and positions, alongside some excellent people, in my 30-year career. I have held positions ranging from work in emergency shelters and street-level homeless services in downtown Toronto as well as community mental health and crisis programs like COAST and Kids Help Phone. From frontline staff to executive director. Throughout all of these experiences I have learned that the most important reputation in the community is the one we have with the people we serve as well as their family and loved ones.
As Director of Operations, I am responsible for making sure that all our programs and services we offer have the resources they need to run and meet both the responsibilities we have to our funders as well as the commitment we have to serve the people in the Halton Region.
An essential part of this work is utilizing a quality improvement framework within all of our programs. This is what energizes me. ADAPT is continually looking for ways we can improve our programming to be more responsive to the needs of those we serve. Big or small, constant change is essential to keep our services up to date with the best practices to improve clinical outcomes and enhance the client experience.
In addition to this, I also act as ADAPT’s Privacy Officer, where I ensure that we adhere to the legislated requirements of the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and that we handle the confidential information of those we serve with care and respect.
Finally, I feel that it is vital that we have input from those we serve on how we are doing. I always want to know what we are doing well and what we can improve. If you have some feedback for us, a great experience or a suggestion on what we can do better, please send it to our open feedback email address at yourfeedback@haltonadapt.org
